National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) National Headquarters organized a mentorship summit for Kwara State Female Students Home and Diaspora

The program featured many captains of industries, politicians, and vibrant student leaders. Amongst were members of the state’s executive council Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology,

Mrs. Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence Commissioner for Finance

The convener of the summit Miss Abdullahi Simbiat the vice president of NAKSS National Headquarters in her opening remark said the program’s focus is to honor the First Lady of Kwara State for her selfless role in the nation’s development. According to her, Mrs. AbdulRazaq is a mother to all and philanthropist per excellence, she deserves to be celebrated in all capacities that is why NAKSS deemed it fit to hold such an event in her honor.

Mrs. Saadatu Kawu, who delivered a speech at the event advised female students to shun social vices that could defer their success and urge them to emulate women of virtue like Prof Okonjo Iweala, Dr. Oby Ezkwesile, and others.

She also spoke on violence against women among other things that have been the order of the day in our society. In other words, “the level of moral decadence in our contemporary society (Nigeria) in recent times has become worrisome. Human rights and most especially women’s rights have been trampled upon more than before”. She further urged Human rights activists, cooperate bodies to join the government in fighting the menace facing Nigeria Women and beyond.

A Legal Practitioner Barrister Eletu advised females students to always be a good ambassador of their home and Kwara at large, commend the organizer of the event.

Hon Oyeyemi Florence urged the student to always have a strong belief that females are making a great impact on world development and enjoin them to be proud of their gender.

SA New Media in his words, advised the students to always concentrate more on their studies, adding that the current administration has great plans for females.
