IEYDA Visits Victims of Ilorin Rainstorm
More than a hundred homes have been left stranded after Saturday’s heavy rainfall that hit the Ilorin metropolis.

National President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen stated this when he led other members of the Association to assess the level of damage caused by the heavy downpour to the affected areas.
Alhaji Salaudeen noted that private and public infrastructures were badly affected as property worth millions of naira was severely damaged, mostly within the Ilorin West, Ilorin-East, and Ilorin-South local government areas.
National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Alhaji Muhammed Jagunma therefore, enjoined the state government and well-meaning Kwarans and Corporate organizations to extend their hands of assistance to the affected victims.
Alhaji Jagunma urged the affected victims to see the incident as the will of Allah and prayed Allah not to witness such calamity in the nearest future.
Areas visited by members of the youth group included the Oloyin area, Ariyibi, Elelu and Alaro, Ori-Sankoko, Ita-Adu, Okelele, Alagbado, Ogidi, Oko-Olowo all in Ilorin West, Ilorin-East, and Ilorin-South local government areas of the state.
